The effect of Battle Rope training on developing some physical and motor abilities and technical performance on the horizontal bar in artistic gymnastics

The player's arrival at the best athletic level depends on many aspects of preparation, whether physical, skill, planning or psychological preparation, as these factors contribute together with the coach's experience in reaching the player's best performance levels ever, until Battle Rope training is a modern training method that has recently become increasingly popular as a means used to develop physical and motor abilities. The researcher believes that the poor level of performance is due to the poor physical and skill preparation on the barbell because gymnastics skills training depends on experience and self-evaluation, as well as the lack of use of auxiliary training devices and tools due to the unavailability of most of them, which prompted the researcher to use Battle Rope training in the training process to develop physical and motor abilities and raise the level of technical performance on the barbell. The aim of the research is to prepare Battle Rope training to develop some physical and motor abilities and technical performance on the barbell in artistic gymnastics. Since the research problem is of an experimental nature, the researcher used the experimental method by designing a single group for pre- and post-tests in order to suit the nature of the problem to be solved. The research community is represented by the gymnastics players of Dhi Qar Club who They train at the specialized training center in Nasiriyah, numbering (5) players. The sample was chosen intentionally, and the first training unit was conducted on 3/4/2024, approved on Monday after the pre-tests. The group uses the same curriculum trained for the preparatory and final sections, but the researcher introduced Battle Rope training in the main section of the group. Through the use of Battle Rope training, the researcher aims to develop some physical and motor abilities and technical performance of the kinetic chain on the barbell. The application of Battle Rope training took (8) weeks at a rate of (3) training units. As for the research conclusions, training using Battle Rope leads to an improvement in the level of physical and motor abilities of the players
